Once you have all your images, number each image to help us keep them in order. Use a pencil if possible, no sticky notes, please. Do not use ink or marker. For mixed-media productions, number each media separately (e.g. photos 1-10, slides 1-25, digital photos 1-15) and provide a master list that indicates how they fit together (photos 1-5, then slide 2, then digital photos 10-14…). Please note, if order is important, the images need to be numbered. If the images are not numbered, we cannot guarantee the order. Also, if you do not specify an order, we will work with the images in the order in which they are provided, doing our best to keep them in that order with no guarantee. If you would like the images randomized, please specifically request that service.
We offer scanning resolutions for all types of images.

Experience your film in full resolution! Our high-definition frame-by-frame film capture offers resolution gains of 500% over a standard definition capture. Our HD capture is not a mere up-conversion from a standard definition source, but uses a high definition image sensor that takes in 5 times the square pixels per frame of film than standard definition equipment.
Why a High-Definition transfer?
Film has a random grain pattern, which means that the “grain” or pixels of film are in a totally different place from one film frame to the next. These random grains each carry a bit of the detail that makes up the complete picture and, at running speed the random grains overlap each other on the retina of your eye to significantly increase the amount of apparent detail that you can’t get from a single frame of film. This is called “accumulative resolution”. For 8mm films, the HD image sensor generates greater than 4000 pixels per square inch. The accumulative resolution effect found in film can be more readily seen in an HD transfer than in an SD (standard-definition) transfer. The number of pixels is so great and the pattern so insignificant that HD presents like a fine silk stocking compared to the burlap weave of SD. This means that your films have the opportunity to be represented digitally in such a way that when you see the films on an HDTV or HD projector, they will be of much greater quality to what you would be able to experience with an SD transfer, as well as a much greater quality than when projecting the films using a projector for the particular film medium (8 mm, 16 mm).
Unlike some services that project your film or use a real-time transfer process, our state of the art equipment digitally scans every frame of your film, capturing the original footage with zero flicker, for perfect sharpness and vibrant color. The high resolution images are sent directly to our computer systems ready for editing, and are never reduced to a lower quality of resolution.
